B.C. focuses on road safety at work

Burnaby, British Columbia – A new safety-focused website has launched in B.C. for companies whose workers are required to drive during their jobs.

The site was launched by WorkSafeBC in partnership with the BCAA Road Safety Foundation. It features tips and materials to help employers and workers stay safe, and guides employers through five simple steps: getting management to commit to improvements; reviewing the status of existing occupational road safety measures; identifying risks and hazards; developing strategies; and making an action plan. Each step provides instructions, sample forms, and/or best practices for employers to help reduce and eliminate motor vehicle incidents.
