But at higher RPM, where the 2.0T is starting to run out of steam, the V6 would be coming into its own.
it would, but rarely would we ever wind out an engine...about the only time we'd do that is an onramp, so that's only about 5 seconds of "givin 'er"...and even then, the 2.0T still gets moving in a hurry...the 2.0T still has 240 HP...the 3.3L V6 has 290 HP, which is an extra 50 HP, but that's at 6400 RPM, so i'm not sure how often you'd be up there, or for how long...the 3.3L V6 also has 252 TQ, which isn't that much less than the 2.0T's 260, but that's at 5200 RPM, so way up there in the rev range in comparison to the 2.0T...as i said, i like the everyday drive-ability of the 2.0T, it's a great engine that matches this vehicle well...you can drive it "briskly", and it moves quite well, all the while keeping the revs to a relatively sedate level (sub 4k)...you can zip around nicely without looking or sounding like you are Fast & Furious-ing it...that said, the 3.3L V6 engine is a really good engine, and there must be a reason they've dropped the 2.0T (perhaps consolidating their engine line up to keep costs down) in the latest models.
