The interior of the CLA is the biggest letdown for me over the chassis or the _WD platform.   It's just... Bleh.

That interior is certainly no E-class.

one of my coworkers has a CLA...when he got it (about a year ago), he was talking about his new Mercedes...when he came to the office, a couple of people went outside to see it...when he mentioned it was a CLA, i didn't even bother to go look at it...might as well be a Camcord.  ;)

I would check the new Camcord pair, both are new and quite interesting in their own way. The CLA? My brain has been trained to tune that sound out and discard immediately.

Camry V-6 is something I'd own.

the styling is a little different, but i agree...buttery smooth V6, bank vault reliability and a line up of buyers when you want to sell it.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Folks who buy a CLA:  "I'm a baller now!"

Folks who see a CLA and know how shitty it is:  "There goes another poser"

How much more is a C-Class?  Why bother with a CLA when the C-Class is such a nice car for either little extra, or in some case, the same price.  If you want a FGC and shop the entry level segment, the C-Class is a solid choice.  And really, with so many of these being leased, I bet the payments are barely different.

$650/month tax in for a C300 4MATIC with the premium package ($49,400) on a 45 month lease and $0 down. Pretty reasonable.

Lighten up Francis.....

Not bad at all.  No wonder they are bloody well everywhere around here.

C'mon man, you're virtue-signalling - you know very well you wouldn't get teased for it on a car forum. Sorry, had to call ya out  :)
nope, almost all of my smites come from mentioning kia and hyundai products...it's almost forbidden to compliment them or mention them in the same breath as established brands...though, that seems to be changing recently.

sorry, just saw this post now. Fair enough! From my experience the forum welcomes such "dissent", provided it isn't the sole, continuous note the commenter plays (see: certain members and their obsessive references to Buicks and Alfas)

Where are you seeing that? $0 down, 45 months, 18k a year, freight and PDI included I'm seeing the following:

C300 4MATIC with premium: $653 + tax
CLA250 4MATIC with premium/nav/sunroof: $598 + tax

Either way, with a $55 difference, there's no point in going with the CLA.

I got about a $50/mos difference between the C300 and CLA250 as well.  Well worth the extra $.  The C300 is head and shoulders above the CLA in terms of interior, driveline, and appearance.  The CLA feels like MB phoned it in, the C300 is a very desirable car.

What kills the CLA is the numerous other cars that can be had for the same, or less money, that are much nicer.  There's a ton of cars from Korean and Japanese makers as well as other Yuro brands.

Am I really noting that the Subaru STi has a nicer interior than a Mercedes?  WTF?  Someone pinch me, I must be having a nightmare.

It says there that the estimated prices do not include taxes.

The tick box only adds freight and PDI. You still need to add the tax.

Yup. You're right. I thought it was like almost every other site and added the taxes too.

I know and I ran into the same issue back when I was pricing a B-Class. I thought you could include tax, just like on every other build & price site.

Regardless, the C-Class is the better deal, hands down.
