Nice! What style did you get?
I have 3-4 pairs myself (CT owns Piloti, so freebies) and find them to be surprisingly practical, I have one set of running shoe style ones I wear all the time.
do you work for Canadian Tire?

I'm not a good enough driver to justify spending that kind of money on a dedicated car shoe...but those loafers do look good.
It's not that at all IMO.

The heels are rounded...so it's easier to roll your foot to use the accelerator. Hard to explain.

Also, there are bumpers to help with heel/toe...whereas normal shoes might get worn through.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I got the Piloti Pistone - which are the more casual ones. They'll actually replace my rather old Porsche Design driving shoes. I like the Le Mans special edition ones too but like the red option with the Pistone.

I'm very jelly you get Piloti freebies.

Yep, and guess who powers their ecommerce..  ;)

I also worked canadian tire during university in the parts department and parts pass through for the service department. I learned quite a bit about cars from the techs in the shop.

I came close to going with some blue suede loafers but couuldn't justify the $350. lol
Disagree. Totally justifiable!!

Hell, I spent $151+tax on North Face Ultra GTX III hiking shoes that I'll wear maybe 3 times per year. Good driving shoes that make you feel ballet you'll wear all summer?  Completely worth it.

Funny, but she hasn't posted in ages but I ran into Julie and her hubby in their M3. Gave her a good engine rev at the lights  ;):

Did she warn you not to get too close to her car? LOL

Nice people those 2....had fun that day I took them to the track.

Looking good! I'd guess another 3 weeks and we should be in the clear weather wise.

Not that this will ever apply to me.  But when is it right?  Like we aren't going to get any more snow.  Is it the temperatures for the tires your thinking?  Like 3 to 4 days of steady above 6 degrees Celsius?

it likely has more to do with all the salt and sand residue on the roads...after a few good spring showers (and the street sweepers get out), it really helps clean things up a bit.

I'd get out of the way if I saw your car in my rearview mirror.. even if I'm in the driving lane.

I saw a de-badged Porsche turbo in black the other day.. man it sounded awesome.

What is the driving lane?  If your referring to the left lane.  Doesn't matter if its black Tahoe, BMW, or beige corolla I treat them the same when passing people in the slower lane.  No one left to pass, then I move over.

I think he means the right lane.

See that is where North America gets it wrong. If someone is approaching from behind (in passing lane) then you should move over to the right immediately. To make the car approaching from behind slow down is verboten.
