OK if I was ever to want a Porsche, this is the guy I would call.

If I was to do a 930, it probably would be evil Condorman style. The bad guy Prognoviach's 930 Slantnose actually scared me as a kid lol. Both the guy and the car were evil! [yes I know the movie was terrible, but the cars and gadgets were super cool to my ~5-6 year old self]

If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

excellent service, but you sure pay for it. As I said, Diablo or Pantera money...would be a hard decision! OK, where are those lotto tickets...

I still love the 930 looks, and this one as done by Magnus Walker is what I'd go for if I had one.  I'm normally "Fuchs or nothing" but his car sits and looks perfect.  Were I shopping for a 911 today, I'd sure try to raise the budget for a 964.  When I was active in the PCA in the 90s, there was so much 964 hate, and I never paid much attention to the cars.  Then I drove one, and WTF?  They're a really nice car!  The chassis is still super communicative like the older 911s, but the suspension is far better, the "power assist" steering is amazing - the feel of no assist but no strong arming the car in parking lots.  The 964s are still light, raw, and very much everything that we love about air-cooled 911s, but just modern enough that they're nice cars to drive and live with.

Magnus' 930...

My mechanic had a decent runner in his shop this past summer... owner wasn't willing to sell though  :rofl2:  He also had a turbo 993 in there that was hurting, owner had it dyno'd & it was only putting 185hp to the wheels  :o  He was chasing down a few things on it, problem was the previous owner had some ECU mods done, so they weren't sure what was bugging it. Previous owner was super anal with it & really took car of it, new guy just bought it for ~$180k CDN!!   :banghead:

$180k may even be on the low end for a 993 Turbo.  :(

Well, my mechanic was guessing at that number... he figured at least that much  ::)

I remember when 993 Turbos were trading for as low as $50k. Made me think I would be able to get one eventually as they were my dream car back in high school.

My 87 930 changed hands last time for $100K.  Kinda kicking myself now.  All air-cooled Porsches are expensive now.  They won't be deals for much longer I don't think, but the 996 Turbo cars are the used Porsche steal.

There was a bidding war for my 86...and it had almost 425k on it....it's silly.
