Teenagers are actually not heavy Facebook users relative to people that are 20-50 or so.

As soon as the boomers joined, it because 'uncool'.

My Mom and Dad are now on facebook, ergo uncool.

Thankfully I'm in my 30's and don't have the slightest interest in what's cool anymore.  I'm just a lame Dad whose heart yearns for a new minivan, lol.

If this is true there is little chance the forum will attract new users and it will most likely die a slow (or quick) death as there will be no more business case to have it exist.

That is why my original snarky comment was to ask how much to buy the forum. We might as well take it over and add some new content of our own.
Why. Buy this forum, just start a new
What are the cost to run a forum ?

Ya, we could bring back this guy:  http://www.autos.ca/steering-you-right/steering-you-right-farewell/

These columns were remarkable for being so unremarkable.

Those were awesome!!!!  Forgot about those... now I'm gonna have to read thru the archives   :rofl2:

Yeah, I'd forgotten about him...those columns were painfully bad.

So what's wing's role in this site? Administrator and paid by Autotrader?
I love it when a plan comes together.

After the first two days I've not gone to the autotrader reviews site - because the layout and format are horrible.

Those reviews should be linked to this forum.

I refuse to use my facebook account for the purposes pushed by autotrader.ca

Therefore I'm out - I won't be going to the badly laid out and impossible to search reviews. And because the community here isn't transitioning to those reviews in a meaningful way, I'm out of here too.

Less four horseman, and more a learner stalling in heavy traffic, but still.

I'm not sure I understand.
The layout and format, with the exception of pagination which is now gone, is literally the exact same as Autos.ca.
The search box is even in the same place, and it actually works way faster than it ever did here.
I'd like to hear more about the issues you have with the layout on autotrader.ca/expert - we're open to enhancement ideas.

That's on the news and features section. Which is being upgraded shortly.

Expert reviews, at www.autotrader.ca/expert doesn't use Disqus because it didn't work very well.

I don't know, just seening autotrader on top I feel like it's trying to sell me something.

I'm not going to use my facebook account to comment

Sad, I came here every day.  Was one stop to think about something else.

I do use autotrader and nothing against it, but the look and feel its gone :(  and since they took out the short quick news stories started to go down, at least too me.

my 2 cents anyway

The problem on trader you had to go to this section or that section, on the forum you go to unread post and see it all or you use to

Some constructive criticism on the Autotrader expert page, at least the mobile version.  The big picture at the top doesn't have the smaller ones at the bottom like the autos.ca page.  It took me a while to realize that there were 3 more reviews hidden.  I only figured it out because of the links in the forum.

So are you just posting links to Autotrader reviews here or will there be stories like this linked here as well?
