Update : parties must come back to the judge by April 7th; if the deal is approved by both the QC and ON judges, claims may begin before the end of April.

Looks like VW Canada got the green light to sell the NEW 2015 TDI inventory. Just got an email from my dealer with their inventory and discounts.

Ramped up the DEF and regeneration routines, I think.

Ads are starting to pop up. The promos seem to be from corporate VW, although they don't show on vw.ca. Not sure what "finance cash" means and how it applies. The max value is probably for a top trim with all the fixings.

This dealer mentions "loyalty rebates" for current TDI owners.

Same.  Sent them e-mails asking about a manual sportwagen.

Uh-Huh.

Wonder what the impact of Phase 2 will be.

I guess the actual discounts will be deeper as I'm sure the dealers are anxious to get rid of them.

A dealer I spoke with said there wouldn't be any further discounts since demand is so high.

Nothing yet for the 3 litres as there is no EPA-approved fix, but this is the next "to be fixed" batch. I expect VW may be able to do something with the DEF-equipped 2012-14 Passats, while the rest of the 2009-2014 2 litre TDIs will end up scrapped in the US.

Do any of 2015 diesels come with a DSG?

Correct. TDIs were paired with a 6-speed stick or optional ($1,500) 6-speed DSG.

Tempting... But then I wonder if all these 2015s have been sitting under rain and sun for over 2 years without moving and what it would do to an FGC any car. And the discount is not huge IMO given a likely "used" status, that is I can't imagine getting a new car depreciation wavier from the ins.co.
