From that article:

"Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen wasn’t around when those calls were made. While he has defended Cadillac’s pricing, he also has hinted that he might have done things differently."

FFS, is there a more useless clown in charge of an auto division than JdN?  It was HIS decision to move to NY.  It was HIS decision to change the naming structure.  It was HIS decision to change the marketing approach.

But somehow, the pricing structure was his predecessor's call, and he could do nothing about it?  What BS.  This guy rode on the engineers and designers coattails at Audi, did absolutely nothing positive for Infiniti, but somehow is going to save Cadillac?

Well, at least Caddy now admits the obvious.  Undercutting the Germans doesn't mean you are discounting yourself as a true luxury brand - Lexus seems to do quite well for itself while having (relatively) reasonable prices.
