Just read about that.  Sad to see him go.

Though, at 83 he did heed his advice to live long and prosper.

The proper term for TOS is Trekker.

Wow, that's too bad.  Wonder if he was in the middle of any projects?  Played Spock very well, but not as diverse as William Shatner.  He looked healthy.  R.I.P.

At least he will now be more powerful, and he made it to Mordor.

never really a surprise when people in their 80's+ pass, but can just hope that he was as happy as can be and left nothing undone.

from all i had read, he was a pretty good guy (as opposed to some others on the show)... while he was lifelong typecast, at least he got to branch out with some voice-over work... growing up with transformers, i'm sure that was my first nimoy experience...

enjoy exporing whatever is next spock!
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

As my Dad's age creeps closer to 80, it really hits home that it's "normal" for people his age to die. Nimoy wasn't young, but still sucks that he's gone. He did have the honour of playing the coolest character to  grace any size screen.

May we all live as long as prosper as much.

May we all aspire to leave such a gracious and memorable mark on the world.  He certainly was a cool cat, an amazing artist, and a good guy.

Thought about that as well, as my grandfather is 86.  So glad the he is able to see his great grandchildren.  Often think, too bad my grandmother never had the chance.

It would be cool if a Spock collection, some of his best episodes was released on Blu-ray or something.  Just like there is a Jean-Luc Picard collection...

Who else watched The Wrath of Khan tonight?

I did.  And listened to a couple of the special features on the DVD set we have, was very cool to listen to him talk about how he got involved in the movie; and how Shatner was a little pissed that he was not told about the change to the ending.  All in fun it seems.

Will miss him, and 83 seems too young.  Only Bill left from the big 4.
