No summer for me is acceptable one beach weekend. First time I've used a full wetsuit at the beach but it was toasty warm even if surf temperature was 16°.

Guess where I'm going on November 20th.

Lets see, somewhere the air is dry and its desert like? You should just set up a permanent conveyor belt to and from.  8)

YWG to PHX.  Non-stop flight on Westjet.

That's an excellent idea.

Desperately trying to organize climbing partners to head to the Yukon for May to climb Mt. Steel - Canada's fifth highest peak and estimated to have been climbed 10 times in history.  This is an ongoing thing - hope we can make it happen.

Would be the ultimate vacation of a lifetime for me.

A month.  Airfare to Whitehorse plus a ride to Haines Junction plus small craft flights should be in the $1500-2000/pp range all in.  $2K max.  The main issue isn't cost - it's all of us getting a month off together to go to the Yukon.

The word 'vacation' seems inadequate.

Well there's food and whatnot too, isn't there?  You don't work, so the month off is cake for you, eh?   :rofl2:

Gotta eat at home - so that's not really much of an added cost.  Might have to buy some provisions in Whitehorse - so that will add a bit as food there is more.

Stove fuel and other sundries ain't too bad.

And yeah, time off is easy for me, not so much for my chums.

Luckily there is an LZ for a fixed wing - heli is $$$$$$$$$$.

My wife uses another term - and it's not a positive one.

My daughter is lobbying for us to wait until she's done school so she can come.  Tempting.  I'd love to do it with her.

That's a good one, indeed!

Seriously, though...

The guy in the video is Greg Hill - known as "Two Mill Hill" as he managed the superhuman task of skiing (all human powered uphill!) two million vertical feet in a single year.  He's renowned for his fitness.  He looked pretty knackered at some points in the video - leading me to believe that it won't be an easy task by any stretch of the imagination.
