"Settled" does that mean the car actually drops down a little after the install? If so, how much?

Yeah, pretty much all new springs settle once weighted over a few weeks - manufacturers account for this.  The amount depends on the spring and the car.  I installed monstrously stiff front coils in my Camaro and they settled very little, other cars I've had it's been about 1/2-1", maybe a bit more.
Good expalanation.  I was a bit surprised about this, too, but went into the whole exercise expecting something similar as I had read up on it before my purchase.  According to the H&R site, I should expect about a 1.5" drop front and a 1.4 " drop in the rear.  That's pretty much where I am.  I wanted to maintain a lower CG for track duty (and admittedly looks, too) but I didn't want anything ridiculously low, nor something that would compromise the sweet zone for the Koni Sport adjustable dampers.  The Konis literature actually states that they are optimized for a lower-than-stock height and also specifies that this height is in the 1 to 1.75" zone.  Just about where thing sit now.

Track Tires are on.  The 255/40/17 Conti ExtremeContact DWs really fill the wheel wells.  1st Track day is this coming Sunday, April 26.  Can't wait!!!

....I am trying to achieve a smooth, no bump ride.  Anyone got any idea what tire pressure I need?  :-\  ::)  ;D  ;)

Interesting how small wheels still look great on old cars. Never thought 17s would cut the mustard but then I realize hey both my TSX and even the CLK had 17s!

Yea..for sure!  When I was getting wheels custom made for the Supra, I could have had anything made. Instead I stayed with 17s...and just made them really wide.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Interesting how 17" are now considered small.

 @rrocket :iagree:

These are 17 x 9 wrapped in 255/40/17s  Perfect width and offset for those wide tires.

The 18 x 8 BBS are for stylin' with the 225/40/18

Well as cars have grown the wheels have to grow to remain proportional.

Yes, us people with small, old cars have to stick with our Dinky Toy wheels.

My 1986 911 had 15s!!  When I updated to 16s, they looked huge!   :rofl2:

My LS400 was also rocking 15s.

Yeah, I remember the steamroller 205/50/15s on my 1990 Passat, and the uber low profile 185/55/15s on my 1990 Jetta GTX.  ::)
