The deals at Corbetts on Smith gear are cheaper than the deals thru CSIA. I got my Smith Vantage helmet & IO7 goggles for less than I could have thru the CSIA.

No-san, when I bought my Vantage helmet they didn't show a size medium online, so I called them & she then went into the warehouse & found me one and gave me a great price on it.

If your head is a medium, that'd definitely fit me - or may be too big :P

I've asked the wife for permission - the one who makes a fraction of our household income :P (then again, I spend most of it ;D).  Not that she has the final say, but it's respectful.  If she says yes, I'm buying these:

https://www.corbetts.com/2017-smith-variance-matte-white-mens-helmet/

https://www.corbetts.com/smith-i-o-black-goggle-w-ignitor-mirror-lens-bonus-lens/

They'll go with my:

(similar jacket/snowpants, but not quite identical - no red on the snowpants, no hood or rivets on the jacket)

Medium should work. Seen that white one, wasn't sure if you'd wanna rock a white tho, lol!

White helmets are cool! Also a good way to be visible on the hill. I love the Vantage - just a beautiful, well-designed piece. I tried one on earlier this season in Medium and it was a perfect fit for my smallish noggin' (I currently wear a size "S/M" Giro G10).

That's my only hesitation now...the wife has approved the purchases.  With a black hannibal lector mask (Bula)

and the black jacket, I'm not sure how it'll look.  I also wanted to get away from being the same colour as snow.

...but it's not worth $65 more for black.
https://www.corbetts.com/2018-smith-variance-adult-helmet/

and now that I look into it - doesn't look like the Variance has MIPS...there's another version that does, but Corbetts doesn't sell it.

Not sure if I'd put that much weight into the MIPS, it's still a great helmet.

Now I'm lusting after the Smith Quantum in red...

Damn.  $329 USD is the cheapest I can find it  >:(  Damn colour preferences.

Yeah, the Variance would be a great helmet, but I'm not sure the white makes me all that happy.

The kid has the Compass, and loves it.  It's not quite as warm as some others, but she's worked in it at -30C, so it can't be too bad.  The thing she likes the most is how light it it - which really matters when you wear a helmet as much as she does, and it weighs little in her pack on the skin track when backcountry skiing.  It also colour coordinates well with her non-working outfit...  (so, yeah, colour matters!)

Call Corbetts, they might have other colours in stock. I called & she found me Vantage in a medium & black, it was new old stock, like a 2015 in 2017.

You can order it directly on the Smith Canadian site for $350 CAD. Still expensive but cheaper than $329 US.

That's going to be me tomorrow.  It's going from +5 to -17 in the span of 24 hours.

My oldest ( 8 ) is entered in his first Ski Cross race tomorrow.  He couldn't be more excited.
