Any bright ideas on how to reshingle a barn like this? My BIL has this barn on his acreage and no contractor wants to touch it.

Renting a high lift is too expensive and IIRC, it has a problem with the weight of the shingles.

When I was in high school, I helped my uncle re-shingle a barn probably close to half that length. It took forever. We used home made ladders and roof steps. It was a long hard job.

Something like, this, but 2x4 lumber and 12' planks.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I tune in to a Texas Rangers baseball game and the host is talking about a Rangers Jr. Fan club for kids 13 and under. That triggered a memory from many years ago that I signed up my friend, Rick, for the Denny’s Restaurant Birthday Club, that was for kids 10 and under.  Rick was in his 30s at the time.

The first commercial played after my reminiscence? A Denny’s spot.   :foil:

Same engines, CVT only.

Wonder if the CVT in the 6 will have a sport mode with virtual gears like the Forester XT ?
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

Bah, it's almost the same in Edmonton:

Tonight, 17 April
Periods of wet snow changing to snow at times heavy before morning. Local amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind east 20 km/h. Low minus 2.

Friday, 18 April
Snow at times heavy changing to periods of light snow in the morning. Local amount 5 cm. High plus 1.

Argghhhh!

You got that right!  Especially considering I have an off-road buggy for that stuff, but it was an hours drive away at the time...in hindsight it would have saved me about 4 hours of grief... ::)

I actually made it in ok, but the ground was warmed up just enough on the way out to make it impassable in one area.  After getting towed out I had to take the driver's side wheel off to clean out the mud caked inside because it was squealing so badly when I tried to drive away.  That was fun... ::) :P  Luckily I had a brand new unused gas can in the back that I filled with water from a nearby pond in order to hose out the brakes.  I also lost the front driver's side mudflap and tore the air dam and had to tie-wrap it back in place.  Truck still squealed like a pig for another few miles so I just turned up the radio a little louder... ;D

You're loaning out your spouse?  Or she's loaning you out?  Good money in that?  Cool... O0  Is it for cleaning purposes...or is it for, ahem, "cleaning" purposes?

Grand Canyon on Sunday.

More details on what you will be doing there. Tourist walk along the rim or sleeping at the bottom for a few days?
