Noticed this today...

CATHARINE PENDREL WINS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS TITLE
http://www.cyclingcanada.ca/sport/cycling/news/catharine-pendrel-wins-world-championships-title/

you can watch the race on Red Bull TV.  She dominated basically from halfway off the first lap to the finish.
She even got a flat on the last lap but had enough of a gap to stay ahead.

The men's race was absolutely epic, it was a wicked battle with Julian Absalon and Nino Schurter (spellling?)
I think it may have been the best race of the year.

Crap, looks like it's going to rain on my charity ride.

haven't been on the bike for a week (ish)

did a good 60k yesterday with a friend who has a road bike.
I realize my bike's fatter tires and nearly twice the weight makes it much harder to keep up!

I got dropped on the climbs a few times.   My legs are actually killing me today!!!!!   :rofl2:

road to work today... hoping to ride tomorrow and if the rain stays away, we have a club ride Wednesday.
4 in a row should make up for lost time!

It's hard mountain biking by headlamp!  Ascended to Kinney Lake in Mt. Robson Park in the dark, and had to slow my pace considerably.  The ride down at the end of the trip was amazing!!  Pouring raid, stretches of mud, and lots of speed!  I'm going to have to use the hose to see if there's still a bike under that mud.

On my ride today hooked up with a guy today who is training for a trip to Hawaii with his father of 68. He did not look a day over 35 and in great condition so I asked why the training? He told me his father's average speed is 35 kph and can out-climb him any day  ???  :fall: He coaxed me to go up the pain cave and wow....would love to see his dad ride.

that's awesome!

I've found, the strongest riders in our club are those who are retired or have seasonal jobs and ride pretty much all the time

my entire plan to ride 4 in a row is out the window.
didn't ride yesterday due to potential thunder storms and having to get to the dealership in time.

today I've got my bike but they're claiming 90% chance of rain.   >:(

Fantastic place for cycling, highly recommended!
