If you need a sedan of this size probably a wise purchase. I just don't think I could pull the trigger on it though, as life is too short..
The current generation is in a different league than the Camrys of yore. The low cowl, precise steering and fairly taut suspensions actually allow some fun behind the wheel. The gap is under the hood. The base 2.5 doesn't partner all that well with the 8-speed automatic, which overrevs it a lot just to gain a bit of speed. A turbo 2-litre would work wonders here. I did a brief drive in a Hybrid and it actually "pulls" better, while getting stellar fuel economy. But AWD only comes with the base engine, with the entire drivetrain actually lifted straight for the Rav4, gear rations and all.
This specific build is gone for 2022. 2021 had 20 Camry variants (!), so Toyota is simplifying next year. For example, the four XLE models are reduced to a single one, the fwd Hybrid.
