yep!

but also, face buried into the phone has become this image of removal from society... this, they try to make it like conversation with a person in the room... less anti-social. and while it seems dumb, it takes less than half the time as getting the phone, getting it awake, bring up google, type in question, click appropriate link/answer. might seem trivial at a few seconds added to your day, but if you could cut screen time in half for most things.... that is significant.
You know your phone can do this all the same by saying "ok Google"?
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I have visions of someone at the dealership saying "ok google..." and 17 phones reply.

I ended up buying Google Home online last night, $50 cheaper than if I were to purchase from Best Buy too.  It's supposed to arrive on Monday, so I'll see how it works when it gets here.

How in the world can they sell it for $50 less??? I'm a bit shy of buying from retailers on ebay.

They had them on for that  during black friday at Best buy.....maybe they purchased a bunch.  In any case at over 13K feedback with a 99.5% rating, I'd say they are legit.

They were $99 and free shipping during the holidays.

The Minis were $40 I think.

It all sold out super quick though. I had to order my extra ones via Google Store and it won't arrive until end of January.

My bro found one at Rona (!!!) for xmas for me. ;D

Good decision...cannot go wrong with it..just for the speaker functionality..
I have it set so when i say ok google good night.. it arms my smart things alarm, sets my ecobee to 18.5 makes sure the front door  is locked  (it's Wi-Fi) and turns off all lights downstairs and in the bedroom.

I use it to check if the lights in the kids room are off (they sometimes leave it on when they go to school) and google can turn it off.
Next o my list is to buy a TV with chromecast...

Well wife likes to keep it at 24 during the day. So our heating bills are still high.

I usually buy the tp link wifi switch. They retail for 50 but are 2 for 50 when they go on sale.
They also have a dimmable led bulb for 25. I have a smartthings hub so have a combination of wemo, tplink, leviton (mostly tplink though) and they all work seamlessly.
