Someone bring a Civic Type R to this race so it can beat both the R and the RS  :stick:

Real men race on a frozen lake!
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Can I bring my van?  And can we change the metrics of the race?

Let's see who can get 7 people (and 3 large suitcases) from one end of the course to the next in the shortest time.  All the people and suitcases need to start outside of the vehicle, like a Le Mans start.

There will be no curves at this track.  Plus it will be on snow.
im out then
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

No you can come because opposite lock slides are awesome.
I would be there in my Saab then, it loves snow.

Saw my first Type R in the flesh today at lunch.  It was on the back of a transporter trailer, but I got a clear view.  It was white.

Honestly, it really doesn't look all that bad.  Certainly not puketastic.  It didn't look any more out to lunch than the new STI I saw in the Superstore parking lot last night.  If you can live with the STI's looks, you could live with the Type R's.

A friend of mine a million years ago was getting into it. Had a KX500 for the purpose. It was a beast from what I remember. I ended up moving and lost touch. Not sure how it all turned out for him. It seemed pretty wild.

Type R
close, but no cigar.

Kinda proves my point, though doesn't it, about the CTR not being too far away stylistically from the STI.

Actually, I posted that to prove my point that the STI is staid in comparison.

 ;D

I saw a blue one in a parking lot yesterday, and it seemed very off the wall.  Certainly not much better than a Type R.

My point is that the CTR really isn't all that bad, especially when seen in person.

I know.  Just busting your balls.

But I do disagree.  The Civic is quite ugly to my eyes.  I find the STI attractive.

Eyes of the Beholder, my friend, Eyes of the beholder.

Although we can rest assured that the Focus RS requires 94 Octane.  That is a technical fact, and not up for debate.
