Revs old Caddy
« on: September 15, 2015, 01:27:50 am »
I liked these as a youngster. Still have the 1988 issue of Motor Trend that had a road test of one of these. Most of all, these babys are rare, this was Cadillac most expensive 4 door in 1991. Buyers traditional or not, did not take to this Seville model. Just have a look at that rear seat room, that wasn't even with the drivers seat all the way back. I havent seen one in ages, and when this one owner car came along I couldn't resist. 1991 was the best year too, it had the only year the boxy car had the 4.9 V8.

Love those warning lights!  Leather (?) looks nicely broken in.  Does everything work?

Nice...my friend's dad bought this exact model way back when I was in gr. 8, so I have fond memories of this Caddy...

Great condition too
I love it when a plan comes together.

Everything works surprisingly. The leather is gen-u-ine, Cadillac made a big fuss about the "buttersoft" leather in this model, it's soft, but that didn't help it to wear well. It also features the zebrano wood on the dash and door panels.

Yes, these 80's dashboards were something else. This car really does show a terrible time in Cadillacs history.

Always was a big fan of this generation's shape, perhaps GM's best 90 degree window body. And your has a dark colour, even better. Interior colour a bit stomach-upsetting, but acceptable given the excellent shape of the car.

I don't know why I have a soft spot for these late 80's early 90's GM's but I do.
Great find in great shape!

Awesome! I love when people buy cars simply because of nostalgia. It's the reason I'm going to snap up a 1987-1991 Camry AllTrac 4WD if I ever find one.

Also, re: your comment about it being the most expensive car Cadillac sold that year... wouldn't the Sedan DeVille (Concours, Brougham, Fleetwood, etc.) have been pricier than the Seville?

Very interesting find.

How many km are on it?  It will be interesting to see what the fuel economy will be like.

Its got around 135,000 kms. Averages about 9L/100 km, will dip down into the 7's on the highway. These were not very big cars, a Ford Fusion makes it look tiny.
