Nothing an aftermarket exhaust couldnt fix, the CLK is beautiful car, the SLK is just....an SLK.

I disagree as much as I could possibly disagree.  The SLK55 AMG is a very serious sports car.  The CLK is not.

It really depends on what you define as "better".

The CLK is a proper two door coupe, the SLK is a cute little convertible with a big engine.....for me, there wouldnt be even a choice.

Again...it depends what you want to do.  The SLK55 AMG will walk all over the CLK in most any performance tests.  And it doesn't feel like you are driving a barge.  I've been in both...SLK AMG for me!  But ONLY the AMG version....

I dont know, I like my Mercs big and powerful, like an old musclecar, fast, loud and handling is not exactly world class. I dont know, CLK for me, but at least a V8....better an AMG.

Oh I like big, fast cars too!  But the SLK55 AMG is special...handbuilt AMG V8 and all!  Have you driven one?

Never been interested enough to drive one.....drove an SL320 a ways back.....beautiful car, I loved it, but needed a damn V8

If you ever get a chance, do try the SLK AMG!  Total hooligan machine, and the sound of the engine is AWESOME!!

Oh, I totally get the engine part. I just really, really dislike the car its attached to. The guy on here who bought the CLK 550, that is an amazing vehicle, Id love to have one in the garage, the SLK.....Id never stretch to have one. Kinda like the TT-RS, Im sure its an amazing car...blah blah blah.....but it does nothing for me.

Ok..well that's much different than what you were saying when you said the CLK was a much better car, the SLK was "cute" etc.  It's does nothing for you...got it.

Oh no, this was totally based on my own biases and thoughts, Im sure car wise the SLK is a lot sportier than the CLK.

i would be happy with either.  SLK amg, SL, CLK550... doesn't matter..  the engine growl alone almost makes up for all the follies of the vehicle.

..but i also want the Z4MC...  ..such rare car.. and it fits me perfectly.  and better seats than my m3..

Ah, so that's what that convoy of brand new SL's that blew by me that time was all about.  They looked great and the journalists seemed to be having a blast.

Totally agree with you there.  I love the SLK, but only the AMG 55 version.  The sound really is awesome from that thing!
