It's not important.  It's just interesting to see a history of a vehicle like that in such good body condition when normally those units are off the road by now.

Do you see much rust in Lethbridge normally? Not a lot of ice to salt, hot and dry much of the time

Last time I went through Montana it felt like a rolling museum

Very little rust here in general. It is generally described as a desert that gets snow. It used to be like Montana 10-12 years ago with all sorts of rolling relics but for whatever reason they seems to have declined and most of the rolling stock is newer these days.

I don't think  Easterners knows how nice old vehicles really are here in  AB/prairies rust on vehicles is very rare or minimal,  my 2004 sienna had none on the paint at 320K  and very little underneath.  Most people don't even know what rust guard is over here.   growing up on the coast in NB your paint would rust just looking at it.

Wife had a loan still on the GMC. Nissan bought with cash so cheaper in my book. Nothing more annoying than a monthly loan payment.

Alberta does have some nice, rust free vehicles (especially that south, and southeast areas). But I’m spoiled by BC vehicles now. Some stuff is unbelievably clean, has to come out of the interior or just far enough away from the coast to be optimal.

Bought a Yukon Denali from Kitimat (coastal town) a few months back. Beautiful body, no rust. But the underside is rusty, like holes in the frame rusty!

Awesome tank of a vehicle - congrats!

Congrats on the nice find.  I've always like these but most of them our here have already rusted out.

So I have driven it a handful of times. I think I might have a theory why the gas mileage is so poor. The throttle pedal is very, very sensitive. Almost like an on/off button. Hard not goose the throttle when taking off from a stop.

The 5.6L V8 and 5-spd transmission probably also play a small role...

Also, it weighs 5800lbs...!!!
