LOL..  getting its a$$ handed to outgoing C6 Z06 right at launch probably didn't help sales.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

Yeah, I think the consensus will be that the new Viper - while admittedly still an awesome, raucous beast - will have a hard time finding new converts to the cause.  It's just not much (if any) more capable than the new Vette, or even the older Z06 or ZR1. 

I think there's still a market for a big, brutish sports car like this - but how many of those folks have already picked up an older Viper?  Is the new Viper really worth "trading up" for?  And with the discount on HP these days (i.e., a GT500 Mustang making 662 HP), the Viper doesn't seen quite as outrageous as before.  But the sound of that V10 though.... :lick:
