CanadianDriver Expands its Influence
« on: August 26, 2010, 10:26:16 am »
Hey, not sure if anyone has noticed yet, but Canadian Driver articles are now up on Autotrader.ca.  Both new and used articles are starting to be available through Autotrader.ca now (there is still some old fluff in there).

The newest articles are on the mainpage near the bottom:
Autotrader
And the older articles are here:
Autotrader Autonews

I think long term this will drive more people to both the site and this forum, which is a good thing.

P.S. Pay no attention to Route 66 articles in the 'News' section by some 'Mike' in his blue WRX  :rofl2:

Probably because Trader is the owner of both sites

Wow considering I was the guy they were talking to about implementing this I am SURPRISED!

I wrote a tool for them to implement this and then we had a meeting scheduled which they had to put off, then now I see live data.  I'm flummoxed!

On second viewing it looks more like they simply copied and pasted into their own database rather than using the tool.

The tool is actually for something else but could be used for many things.

Now all you have to do is get them to fix the POS AutoTrader website...

Yes I do. ;D  I am a huge car enthusiast so when I heard about the company buying out CanadianDriver I was more then excited since anything to do with cars has always interested me.  Then I found this forum and couldn't believe I had never been on it before.  I have a new addiction (one I can check at work too!).

I had been writting a few articles for Autotrader on the side (such as these for the Route 66 Rally and previous ones for Bullrun) before the days of us actually having legit automobile journalists in the Trader family.
