^ To my eye the Benz looks a lot worse than the BMW because the entire dashboard is super tall.

Whether you subjectively prefer the aesthetics of the BMW dash is a separate question from whether it has an integrated navigation screen. It doesn't.  It's okay that you like a stuck on Navi. Not everyone has to like the same thing.

Thanks for clarifying that, I had no idea.  :P

I don't think whether or not something is considered to be integrated is completely objective though. I'd argue that the wide-screen proportions of the BMW's screen and the fact that the housing is trapezoidal make it appear to be more integrated than the screens in some Audi and Benz models. To me and Audi A3's screen looks like an afterthought, whereas in the BMW it looks like the screen belongs there. In the 2/3/4 series, if you don't have nav, the screen is smaller and its proportions don't look as good as the models with nav. I find that screen does look more like an afterthought.

The Benz is terrible? Are you guys smoking crack? lol

Also, I never thought the way BMW did the screen was bad. Having been in a few of their new models I think they screen is fine. Some of those MBs aren't great, though. Still, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

I don't think that Benz is terrible, but the look of a continuous screen (it's actually two 12.3" screens IIRC) across half of the dash doesn't look quite right to me.

Clearly this is a divisive issue.  ;D

The A3 has a simple solution:

If it isn't integrated into the dash, at least give me the option of hiding the bloody thing.

Apart from the TV screen, for a brief "change in channel", I DO like the wheels!  :-*

OK I can see it now, someone is going to come along and say they don't like the wheels, that they should have been scythe kitchen cutter blades like the GTi has and had.

Neat. I couldn't figure out how to retract the display in the Q2.

I'm not sure about the A2, but the A4's screen can't be retracted IIRC. Which is a step backwards.

If I'm not mistaken from what I've read, and considering the time zone, the big launch party is taking place right now at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea, with Gwen Stefani singing about how the car comes together as one.  ::) Any live feeds or videos?

^^^ Cool.  Can't wait to see and hear more about this car.

That's the car. Will begin sharing details and answering questions tomorrow, where possible. Bear in mind that this is the Korean launch. Our packaging and vehicle tuning will be different in North America. Our launch begins in November at the LA Auto Show.

First thing I thought when looking at it:   needs a black optics kit and the tail lights look like an M2's crossed with a C200.

I know those shiny bits help the old folks locate their cars in the bingo hall parking lot but man do they kill the look.

With that being said, the G70 with the V6 looks like a really sweet ride.

Looks really good to me. So glad it is not as big as the Stinger. Engines are exactly what I expected- I assume we will get both in Canada.

The cross hatch is the in thing these days. Everyone wants to think they're driving a Bentley.

I'm sure there'll be 2 other leather options each with 4 different colours.

Lots of good pictures.

I gotta say it looks much better than I expected. Good it didn't "copy" the Stinger which is kind of awkward and cartoonish IMO.

P.s. it needs that 2.2L euro diesel making 200 hp  ;D

:o Surprising, a stick shift! So tempting...

Both engines will be mated to eight-speed torque-converter automatics developed in-house, though the U.S. market will also offer a turbo-four with a manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. Expect that version to migrate to Europe when the Genesis brand launches there.

Here's hoping that Canada follows the US market on this score.

It's hot like fire in red.  Pass on the grey.

Don't get the hate for the quilted seats.   ??? Together with the white piping, they sure brighten up the charcoal grey interior.  Lots of manufacturers do this and I don't recall so much scoffing.  Oh well, to each his own.
