Great review as per always. I cannot believe how popular these, and its Wagoneer bigger brother, are around here. It seems that all the soccer moms traded their X5s and Mercedes things in for these things. They're a really nice rig, I can't really blame people for liking them.
I agree, you’re reviews are excellent!
The Grand Wagoneer is a very rare sight here in the Okanagan (save for the many I see loitering on the Jeep dealership lot) and even the smaller Grand isn’t very common. And everyone here is big dollar SUV crazy, can’t go far without seeing new Escalades/Denali, Range Rovers, BMW’s, etc.
Think Jeep has priced themselves out of their own market.
Despite having two Jeep dealers with 30 km, I have not seen either a Wagonner or a Grand Wagonner on the road. The beater version of the Wagoneer is $90K plus tax and the beater Grand is $110K plus HST and LUXURY tax. LOL!
Lots on the road here, and a bunch on the lots. Of course, this is Yukon/Suburban territory, so folks are accustomed to paying nearly six figures for family haulers.
There are two Wagoneers in my 'hood, one Grand that replaced the lone Yukon Denali in town, one "base". Both look like garden sheds on wheels. The GM's look good, at least, and drive pretty well since the IRS move. The recent Expedition I've only seen in pictures.
