My guess is anyone that's not 5th percentile height will fit in this thing just fine.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

I think Infiniti, BMW, and Lexus should be afraid.  Very afraid.

Why can't Acura build something like this?

BMW and Lexus have nothing to worry about it.  The ATS is a great car, didn't sell very well.  I don't think this will either.  Even if it turns out to be a great car.  Kia is just trying to show us what they can do.  The market on this class is pretty small.

Hyundai and Kia have always been about value proposition.  If they can significantly undercut those cars while at the same time providing the same or better performance, we may all be surprised at the success in sales.

I agree.  I just don't think the luxury makes have a lot to worry about with just one KIA RWD vehicle.  They have planted themselves in the luxury segment for a long time, and most people buy that segment for the prestige.  Kia is a little difficult to be taken seriously when they have other cars that start under $20k vs luxury competitors.

Video gives a much better look at the car.  This thing will have a lot of road presence.  It looks aggressive and upscale - particularly when you see it in motion.

I don't like the little red strip here. What's it for?

Atmosphere.

I think the designer saw the trend in makeup:

Very trendy!  ;D

I think Infinity, BMW and Lexus will love it because everyone will say they want it...and then won't buy it.

As I said in the other thread, I feel this thing is a mishmash of design styles, a bloody visual mess.

I keep on looking at it and wishing all those "vents" wouldn't be there.

I'm thinking this will be a pretty good competitor for the S5 Sportback and BMW 440i Grand Coupe.

With that being said, Kia needs to price it under $55K fully equipped if it has any hope of competing.

^ That's the best pic I've seen of it yet - probably because it hides some of the less flattering details.

This is exciting that 'fun' being optimized.  These are credentials of people who love
the feel of a car; the dynamics; what comes into play for control on black ice; how to toss around
your car and feel confident.
Terrific article and now also Motor Trend has their version ( with a bit more on turning off the nannies ).

How is "fun" being optimized when the car only has 2 pedals  ???

I'm pretty sure I could have a freaking ball of fun in a GTR.

This got old years ago.

Because three pedals aren't necessary for "fun".  The whole "3 pedals FTW!" is quickly becoming a stone-age mentality that needs to die.  I love rowing my own gears but manual transmissions don't have a choke hold on driving enjoyment.

Yes, downrate me now please.

Ya, a MT Sonic is more fun than a DSG GTI. What was I thinking?

Automatics just aren't as engaging. Given a choice, I'll go with a manual regardless of the performance penalty.
