That’s not the problem...GM is limiting supplies because they lose money on the Bolt.

I think it is the availability of Li-ion batteries that is the limiting factor.
Nope it’s purely business strategy...GM has a hefty supply of Bolts in the US, but currently they lose around $7k per car...that only happens though in markets outside the US though - because in the US they get CARB credits, as long as production is limited to 30k/year
GM might be near the break even point though, because Barra promised to increase production towards the end of 2018 (they could do that now if they wanted - the factory where the Bolt is made can churn up 90k/year....
