Yep. Interesting turn. While some people here are having size  :P and range anxiety, the dealers cannot keep up with demand. I wonder if a buck-forty a litre gas has anything to do with it.

That’s not the problem...GM is limiting supplies because they lose money on the Bolt.

I think it is the availability of Li-ion batteries that is the limiting factor.

Nope it’s purely business strategy...GM has a hefty supply of Bolts in the US, but currently they lose around $7k per car...that only happens though in markets outside the US though - because in the US they get CARB credits, as long as production is limited to 30k/year

GM might be near the break even point though, because Barra promised to increase production towards the end of 2018 (they could do that now if they wanted - the factory where the Bolt is made can churn up 90k/year....

Main differences in the 2019 are revised front seats, improved suspension (different springs and shocks) in the front to reduce thump and jounce when going over road imperfections, and having several choices of what % to charge the battery to rather than just having 88% hilltop reserve and 100%

Seats will definitely be a welcome improvement.

with the EV rebates gone in ON, these types of vehicles will likely flop now...not many people will pay $50k for these.

yes, i mentioned that...my guess is these types of vehicles sell mostly in regions with subsidies, and the sales volumes are likely proportionate to the size of the subsidy.

From what I read, adaptative cruise control will be standard EUV Premier only, not even available in option on the EV version.

If confirmed later, imho their marketing did a mistake but hey, it is only me!
