I don't know. They check a lot of boxes and I should like them but there is just something about them I find unappealing. Maybe the softness? I much prefer something like Gurgie's ride
Ya, it's a full on luxury car and not the least bit sporty.

But if luxury and comfort are priorities, it does it extremely well.

Which is what my dad is looking for. Budget $20-25k hardtop cabrio, automatic, ~100k kms. Theres not many options out there.

Would he like a SLK 55? Just slightly over his $25k budget :stick:

Not quite under $20k, but the market has changed now. All the ones I see with similar mileage to mine are in the $33k asking range.

Yeah, plan is to put it up for sale shortly. I wanna move onto something else, so the sale of the SLK will help fund that purchase.

Replaced my unobtanium Prius battery.

Original battery lasted awhile!

Must use the big traction battery when this one is unplugged. Didn't lose any presets or anything of the sort, surprisingly.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

At some point manufacturers must have solved the retained settings issues because all three of my current ones retain all settings when I disconnect. A PITA otherwise

Keep the receipt. I didn't find CT particularly useful when trying to exchange their battery under warranty. It had date stickers and all but nope, "have to have a receipt". Been using costco since then.

True. Costco looks up the purchase date for you though your membership. CT treats you like a criminal when you try to return a warranty item.

LOL. I once had to service an Ikea fridge. No receipt, no CC record. They went out of their way to look it up based on the delivery info of the item and me recalling what store it was purchased at. Emailed me the receipt so that I could then call whirlpool. Still super impressed.

Yeah, same experience here. I think there's a retained memory for a certain short period of time, maybe an hour or so. If you leave it disconnected long term, you will lose settings.

My FIL has been visiting this week, we took the kids to this big fancy playground that's a town over, about 15-20 minutes away, all winding tree canopied backroads. Rather than jamming everyone into the Escalade, Mrs.Firm drove the green Firebird with her dad and I drove behind in the kiddie bus....25C, just a perfect drive. Felt good to see them enjoy the car.

Thanks Aqua!

We leave for Pensacola Beach next Saturday, and I am travelling for work most of this week, so I spent some time today going over the Escalade making sure it was ready for the trip. Gave it a good wash, a coat of wax, cleaned all the glass, etc.

Looking great!

Civic had some more maintenance today:
- seasonal tire change
- brake fluid flush
- clutch fluid flush
- new low beam headlight bulbs

Its going to need new front control arms soon, bushing are starting to crack and deteriorate. Doesn't look like too bad of a job but it only takes one siezed or broken bolt to turn it into a nightmare...

There was a time when they were making the SUVs square and there was nothing wrong with it. They still look good 20 years later.
