Let me spell it out for you before everyone goes on tangent and make it personal (again):
I'm still willing to pay
up to $25K for a clean unit, meeting my "must have" criteria. I'm willing to pay a premium of
up to $26.5K ($30K tax in) for an exceptionally clean unit meeting all my "must have" and "nice to have" criteria.
These are my criteria and don't really need to justify them. Just take them at the face value. If you still feel the need to judge, feel free.... it would not change anything.
So, on paper, this unit had the potential to be that $26.5K unit, hence I went to see it. To my disappointment, it wasn't exactly what I hopping for once I saw it in person and spoke with the owner. Still a consideration at the right price.
This purchase is totally different from the previous one so the 328 purchase has no bearing on what I'm looking for now. As such, buying a car from QC is not my first option. Sure, if I miraculously find and exceptionally well maintained car in QC (e.g. rustproofed annually), which checks all the boxes, I would not rejected simply because it's a QC car. Too bad
@Slow_Lane doesn't have one for sale.... I would've happily paid the premium despite being a "QC car"
Have you seen the condition of his MK1
white Mazda3 Sport when he sold it?
BTW: I would not pass on an exceptional 2016, for an adjusted price of course.
However the one linked (which I'm aware of) is not what I want irrespective of color combo.
There is an even better one, which is local to me, but I do not want the M Sport package. If it wasn't for the M Sport Package, I would've checked it out. Note the price drop from the original asking price.
