This is great - too bad you can’t jus get a normal engine ffs. Also 4500 pounds.

A V90 T6 is ~4250 pounds.

I'm anxious to see pricing on that T8.  Judging from the V90, XC90 and even XC60 the premium will be wallet-crushing.  I mean for the XC60 R Design + T8 its $70K without any additional options.

There is $8,825 rebate for Ontario buyers, so that eases the blow a little.

Apparently Automotive News is saying we're only getting the T8 PHEV and not the T6 PHEV.

It's interesting that they chose to debut the wagon before the sedan.

Once this and the new S60 go on sale Volvo will have an awesome lineup of vehicles.

Nice exterior design but not in love with interior. Steering wheel is ugly to me and the infotainment screen in the current offerings is awful. Throw in the industrial 4 cylinder (non hybrid that must be coming?), flinty harsh suspension and no rear seat room and what is to love?

I drove the XC V90 and allroad back to back and there was no comparison. Most reviews only give a passing comment about the Volvos harsh ride. Sweet design though.

Will not sell.

admittedly, have not driven a recent Volvo, but the older ones [S60, V70, 850 etc.] all had excellent if not cushy rides, yet were still sporty and compliant and not floaty

have Volvo gone the way of Audi with their suspensions?

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Mine is a 2015 V60 with the sport suspension and 19” wheels and it feels fine to me even in Toronto’s crappy roads. Potholes seem big this winter.

That said I was coming out of the TL and the Z4. Those cars are harsh.

i'm not exactly sure what you are talking about.  no back seat room in what?  none of us have sit in the new v60.  i'm also befuddled as to why you are comparing a xc90 with an Allroad... completely different class of vehicles.

I believe he was comparing the V90 XC, having written "XC V90"

Love the looks of this thing.   Like the idea of a high quality cloth seat option as well.  Not so sure of the drivetrain though.

Too bad this stuff wasn't modular.  This body and interior combined with the chassis and drivetrain from the Macan would be just about the perfect vehicle IMO.  ;D

Supposedly Volvo is working with Google on updating the infotainment. Weakest part of the lineup but IMHO fixing it will require more than just software + faster processors (though that's definitely needed).

Just put some damn buttons back in already. Pinch to zoom in a car is retarded.

I think one of the issues with automotive infotainment is the long lead times on design plus the need to source components that will be in production for a long time. You don't end up buying the latest Snapdragon whatever from Qualcomm because they're only going to make it whimsically for a few years and you can't get long term parts. So you end up with some real slow crap from TI or whatever.

So, I'll likely be getting my other half a Cross Country version of this... in T6 form. It must be white with a ski box.

It's the V90 CC.

ah.  well i sat in the s90, v90, xc60 and xc40 at the autoshow one after another and i was surprised that volvo seemed to have kept their rear seating area relatively consistent across these lines.  it's like they just reduced luggage space.  the only one that really stood out was the s90 which was is really the s90 Long from China now.  that rear seat was massive.

Yeah sorry I can't keep up with all the nomenclature. The rear seat room on the V90 was small for the size of the car. The smaller models are about the same. in the Audi Allroad at 6'2" I am somewhat comfortable in the rear with the drivers seat set for myself. In the Volvo my knees are jammed in the seat backs. Volvo seems to put more emphasis on cargo room vs rear seat room. It has been that way for a long time.

The L versions are another matter altogether. Looks proper lol.

Its odd there's no R-Design option on the V60.  Too bad really.

Is the T6 really PHEV? The website only mentions gas.

I find the v90 looks too long. Thi
