There all a scam. They still don't cancel the crying baby on your flight.  I would pay extra not to have babies on a flight.

I don't know about value, but Bose are generally regarded as the best.

I have a pair of their in-ear noise cancelling headphones (QC 20) and they are incredible.  They're also really, really comfortable so I wouldn't rule them out.  And being in-ear they are easier to carry around.

These are cheap and use a AAA battery which is handy.  I wouldn't bother with bluetooth if they will be used for travel.\

I have older pair of Sennheiser folding, lightweight noise cancelling headphones. I purchased them on eBay.ca years back. I think I paid $40 for them and they still work!
I think the place u got them from was in Montreal.
At the time Best Buy was selling the exact same model for over$200!

I know the principle and that's why I said "these won't do it completely". As for music listening experience which is arguably the first thing headphones should do well, the V6s are likely the best bang for the buck. Sony doesn't list them on consumer websites, doesn't advertise them and they still sell like hot cakes.

It's also why they don't really work for crying babies super well. They're most effective to block ambient noise.

I have a sony set more portable than EV Dan's, and I like them.

What's the budget? If 300$ range I'd probably get the Bose quietcomfort:

EV Dan, presumably they will be use for air travel.

I use mine for walking to work and the lower noise floor means I don't need to crank the volume.

And if it's a noisy environment it matters less how good your headphones sound than the amount of sound isolation they provide.

I have the Sony MDR-NC7 folding ones.  They even came with a little travel pouch.  I don't recall paying all that much for them - maybe $40.00.
