Kia Forte Ex 2020 vs Honda Civic Ex 2017
« on: September 15, 2020, 07:46:45 pm »
Hello,
I’m looking to buy an used car and my option was Honda Civic Ex 2017 with 40k on the run, cost 16K CAD excluding taxes.
Having said that, I visited Kia last week and took test drive forte ex model 2020 and I liked it instantly. The numbers looks good on the paper as well 23k cad with taxes 0% APR for 84 months.

Now my dilemma is should I go with the used Honda Civic or a new Kia, if I go with used then I have to put all of my saving or go with the new one where I can pay off whenever without any additional fees.

How good are the safety features in Kia 2020 compared to Honda Civic 2017 Ex

Guys need your suggestions on my to be purchase. Thanks

Why are you not comparing the Forte to other new cars? This is a strange comparison.

I own a 2015 Forte 5. I like it and it has been a good car. The biggest weakness is the paint. Chips very easily. The paint on my back spoiler is already oxidized. Not sure it is going to age too well. The new Forte has a CVT transmission. The KIA service rep whispered to me that he has seen quite a few issues with it. It is KIA's first CVT. I lot of drivers do not like CVT's. Be warned.

Honda Civic's have had horrible paint failure problems as well. I seen some where the whole top of car has failed.

If you want bullet proof go for a Corolla. Might be a bit boring but it is reliable as heck and holds it value.
