2024 Toyota Land Cruiser 70
« on: December 02, 2023, 04:26:35 pm »
Not available here, sadly. Updated version of the same rig that came out in 1984!!

Priced at the equivalent of $32k USD, it would sell-out fast in NA...

I dig the pickup version.

And there's one for sale in Canada..though a bit older.

But yea, these would sell out IMO

Are the crash safety requirements the same in Japan as here?

I can't imagine this passing North American crash standards at that price point but maybe I'm wrong. There would certainly be a market for something like this in NA but it would probably sap buyers from the much more expensive LC that we are getting.

Been watching an Aussie TV series set in the Outback. The show features some pretty neat looking 'Utes!

Looks like they still sell them here, but just for mines

https://jalopnik.com/the-canadian-market-land-cruiser-normal-people-cant-buy-1837547375

We drove for an hour in one a km down a Potash mine in SK, no roof or even a windshield IIRC

I drove by the Ontario dealer on our trip to Quebec last summer. Was neat to see a bunch of Land Cruisers parked out front.

I love the idea of this, but I'm skeptical on whether or not they'll sell out...

I've learned time and time again that while Enthusiasts are QUICK to get uber-h*rny to buy something when it's released, very few of them are actually able to. Their wives will just make them buy RAV4s and CX-5s instead.

Case example: Toyota USA declared that the Mirai outsold the Supra in 2023. Compare magazine and discussion forum hype between the two.
