Yeah, the only way I'm getting into the 10's or below with the SLK is when I head down to Toronto with it & take hwy#7, then I can get into the low 9's, high 8's. But my general putzing around to golf, hockey or running around I'm usually in the low 12's at best.

That's still darn near 20 US MPG...which for a V8 isn't horrific IMO

Took a look this morning.  I'm averaging 18.0L/100km through my first 7,000km of driving.   About 13mpg.   In line with most of the reviews I've seen.
Fill it when it's empty.   Don't look too hard at the math!

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a60080329/2024-toyota-land-cruiser-on-sale-date/

Interesting article from C&D on demand/supply, prices, allocation etc. for the Land Cruiser in the US market, specially during the initial high demand phase. It also speculates that given the impending introduction of the new 4Runner which is much closer in size to the new Land Cruiser (250) vs the old "traditional" Land Cruiser (300), that the demand for the Land Cruiser could moderate once the 4Runner comes to market, given that it is cheaper. I wonder how much of this is relevant for the Canadian market.......

Also the GX. GX hybrid?

I think the sales ratio between the 4Runner & Lexus GX 460 was something like 15:1 both in the US and Canada. In Canada Lexus rarely sold more than 500 units of the GX vs ~8000 for the 4Runner. With the new Land Cruiser priced at just a small discount to the GX550, I doubt that too, with the GX will be a big seller in Canada. The 4Runner is probably going to be a much more significant vehicle in terms of dollar sales and profitability for them as the current model starts at ~$20K below the Land Cruiser.
