I'm very seriously thinking about putting a deposit on one of these.
Wanted the e golf for the crazy residual and dirt cheap lease but the timeline is insane.

I think it's pretty neat!

Seems like a properly sized car compared to Bolt.
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

I think it ticks most of the boxes for most people.

Decent range, looks, price....

I'm SO tempted. My parents might want to buy my fit from me. My landlord is willing to install a L2 charger.

I will decide in January but it is looking very likely

Google translated:

Expected early 2019, the new Leaf 60 kWh, which should take the name Leaf e-Plus, should go far beyond a simple update of the battery

According to the PushEVs website, this new Leaf e-Plus will carry a more powerful electric motor than the current generation, which has already grown from 80 to 110 kW, with a new engine block of 160 kW expected to make the electric sedan even more dynamic. While the new Leaf promises a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 8.5 seconds, the e-Plus would perform the same service in 6.5 seconds or two seconds less.
64 kWh battery

If Nissan has not yet confirmed the name of the battery provider of this Leaf e-Plus, the presence of the Korean LG Chem is more open secret. Equipped with new NCM 811 cells whose production will begin in 2018 in factories of the Korean supplier, the Leaf e-Plus should use a pack of about 64 kWh, 60% better than the pack 40 kWh of the 2018 Leaf.

In terms of autonomy, PushEvs announces at least 360 km according to the US approval cycle (EPA), 120 km better than the 240 km of the 40 kWh version. Compared to our unlikely NEDC cycle, this would lead to a theoretical range of nearly 600 km against 378 km for the 2018 Leaf.

Another novelty: the Leaf e-Plus also incorporates a new thermal management system (TMS) to better regulate the battery. A device that could particularly limit the impact of cold on autonomy.

11 to 22 kW of onboard charger

If the announcement of the 6.5 kW charger Leaf 2018 had disappointed some of our readers, the e-Plus version promises to do much better with an on-board charger whose power would oscillate between 11 and 22 kW. What facilitate the load of the sedan on a French market very focused on the AC load with the Zoe.

The power of the fast charge - a priori in CHAdeMO - would be increased from 50 to 100 kW. What to further reduce the charging time. Provided of course that infrastructure follow with such a power level.
5000 € more expensive?

Sold a little less than 30,000 dollars in the Atlantic version 40 kWh, the Leaf will be about 5000 dollars more expensive in its version 64 kWh according to PushEVS. A price that would approach that of the Chevrolet Bolt and its battery 60 kWh, sold for around $ 36,000 in the United States.

In France, where the 40 kWh version is sold from 33,900 euros excluding bonus in its entry-level version, we can expect a call price around 39,000 euros. Case to follow ...

Sounds very promising! I'd take a strong look at one in a few years when/if one of my cars die.

Yep, I used Chrome to translate the article, too.

I have to say, this version really interests me.

Would work for simple duties like errands, kid to school, IQ to work, etc

I'd still need an ICE car, but this LEAF would be handy.

Yes and I really like the size of the Leaf. While the Bolt is quite small, the Leaf is a mid-size car.

Yep, it'll be a great second car to have for daily tasks.  I'd keep at least one ICE car for long trips.
