Looking for a safe cleaner. Is 50/50 alcohol - distilled water good enough for a car tech screen or will it damage it?
I know to avoid windex type stuff.
What's good among over the counter products, CT, Wally, Amazon?
Honestly, plain old water with a high quality microfiber should clean the screens.
But if you need a product that cleans AND removes micro scratches, Plexus is what you want. Contains no ammonia which is usually what's problematic in other cleaners. A bit pricy, a bit hard to find at times.
Chemical Guys Total Interior is more readily found. They also sell pre moistened towelettes if you don't want a whole spray bottle.
I've also used cellphone/tablet/laptop screen cleaner in a pinch. Called "Whoosh" and made in Canada and comes with microfiber. No ammonia or alcohol.
