All I’ve seen is that there was a “safety” driver in the seat but the car was in autonomous mode. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.

What if he didn’t have time to react? What if by the time he noticed the woman crossing the road the car was accelerating? So many variables there...

Self driving vehicle are a bit of a pipe dream...

Highway driving? Yup...much easier to control the variables.

I'm looking at the video posted and seeing a bunch of bags hanging from the handle bars on the bike...and it wasn't at a crosswalk.

Something to consider when looking at the cyclist's actions and their predictability.
