The Clarity looks funky with the rear wheel fender shape. I wonder what the price will be like?
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I'd guesstimate it'd be a bit lower than the hydrogen Clarity  ;) Obviously they will take Prime into account when pricing it.

You want funky? Toyota has the Mirai on the show floor in Montreal - and I mean on the floor, unlocked to explore. Parked next to a Prime and Prius, they looked like a row in Space Invaders.

Honda setting themselves up for failure... :(

They didn't get the memo that in 2017 affordable EVs come with 30+ kWh packs... or they are still hooked on hydrogen.

Their Accord hybrid is at the top of the pack though, until the 2018 Camry H specs are known anyway. This EV sounds like a compliance car except no-one will be interested because Hyundai Ionic will offer more range and will be cheaper too, IIRC.

I'm surprised to see such a tiny engine in a large (bigger than Accord IIRC) and heavy Clarity. It will have to do a LOT of RPM once the traction battery is flat to keep up with the power demand, and it will feel stressed. Why they couldn't use the current Accord's architecture just with a bigger battery I'm not sure...  :-\

Yes, she's not miss Rhode Island  ;)

Me too, I was asking myself that question about that deal, if the Voltec tech was going to be inside the latest Accord Hybrid or the Clarity..?.

WTF?

USA, March 2017, seem to be right.
Maybe some $ incentive before Leaf 2.0 release, dunno?

But not everyone need that 383km range or so, neither ready to pay the accordingly price. If the 1st gen Leaf fits the need and budget, why not? Same about the FFE, Soul, etc  ;)
