Doug Demuro and a 512 BB in Dubai

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvErr0LdX7A&t=0s

The 512 was always a favourite Ferrari. Just a great looking thing with a fascinating engine.

He said the BB sold for $60k in 1981, roughly $160k in 2017. Consider what a top self Ferrari goes for now.

At one point I looked up and compared prices in 1970. A 911SC was the same price as a Buick 225 Electra (roughly $35k in 2015) both affordable to reasonably well off middle class folks.

More reasons to be bitter.  >:( ;D
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

The 512 BB was always one of my favorite of all exotic cars.  Such a clean and timeless design.

That was the poster car on my wall back in the day.  I thought the Countach was cartoonish by comparison even back then.

Still one of the greats.  I have small feet, so I might be able to drive one.

He's okay.  His style of going through the tiny details of the car is actually really cool.

He's pretty polarizing. That's why I put his name before the link.

Some days I can take him better than others. The mugging for the camera can get old pretty quick.

I do like him pointing out the various quirks on what are typically pretty rare cars.

He reached a new low with his Doug-o-meter stupidity.

I always stop the vid before the "Doug Score."  Not interested in that.

IMO, when you do something like that, your credibility goes down as a "real" reviewer.

It's tongue-in-cheek. His whole thing is tongue-in-cheek.  Love him or hate him he does a different thing as he's successful. Look at his hit counts on his vids.

Yup.  I just dislike the Doug Score thing, so I skip it.  Otherwise I like his approach of all those "quirks and features."  I don't place any stock in his driving impressions - but his reactions are sometimes humorous.  He also finds some really interesting cars.
