Had dinner (BBQ) outside last night for the first time this season, and the first time at this house....Yard still needs work, free patio furniture, crappy unstained deck....But still an awesome feeling. Took a photo to commemorate:

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Not having to put on 2, 3 or 4 layers when going out for a bike ride. Keep the sunshine coming.

Washing the dishes and there are exactly as many spots in the drain board as there are plates.

Using a drain board for dishes?  That's crazy..
LOL!  The dishwasher is on the fritz and Sears Home Service (oxymoron) only comes out our way on weekdays, specifically Tuesdays and Thursdays.  ???  My wife and I both work, so that's a problem.

Sears Home Service isn't owned by Sears anymore - crazy eh?

My wifes friend has been waiting since the middle of March for Future Shop to fix her washer or dryer. They came in about a week after the thing broke down, had to order some parts, master mechanic numpty ordered the wrong parts....now have to wait a few more weeks.....I would have had a new dryer by now courtesy of Future Shop....  >:(

Sure many were doing that this past weekend.  Sure it feels a little better when it's the first time at your new house.  And everybody's yard always needs work. Congrats!

- Saw an Asian girl on the bus this morning sitting lotus position in one of those sideways, 2-wide seats.  The bus was lightly loaded so she wasn't taking an extra seat from anyone.  I just thought that was kinda cool.
- Got into my client's office building elevator lobby and there were 5 people standing there playing with their phones and no one had thought to press the call button.  Too funny.

That is usually when I say something smart like "You know they don't have an app to push the button yet....right."

My wife's grandfather is in the hospital (where I work).  I swung by to get my bike at about 8:30 to get my bike that I'd left.  I figured I'd stop in to see if he was watching the game (he's a huge hockey fan).   Apparently they wanted him to stay in his bed so he couldn't go to the common room where the TV is located (no TV's in the room).

The first words out his mouth when he saw me was "what's the score".  So I told him I'd be right back and I grabbed my laptop and we streamed the game on CBC. Ended up watching the rest of the 2nd and all of the

It made his day but also it made mine.  I had the chance to spend time with just him which never happens as we're always meeting at family events.

That's nice, Montreal played very well.

You earned some "good points" there not that you did it to earn any points. Sometimes just having somebody else there while you are in the hospital is a comforting feeling.

Having spent 4 weeks in the hospital I know how important company is. I was also able to watch the 2010 Olympics, they were a god send.

I started out looking to help someone but found myself genuinely enjoying the company.
