I give it to my dog as well, but not sure how effective it is because I started it at the same time as arthritis meds.  It was a dramatic change, but don't know if it was one or the other, or the combination.

Glucosamine chondroitin can take a while to feel the effects, up to a month or more.  But regular dosage at the recommended levels are a must.

I love the continued lack of support from HR in Germany.

I've been trying to figure out my insurances, incl. the mandatory health insurance. Contact person is out this week sick, so yay no one to explain to me how the whole system works. Legally I have 14 days to decide and report to HR my healthcare choice.

Go figure, for all my belief in a public gov't-run healthcare system, in my situation I'd be better off with private health insurance in Germany...... ???

If it's not needlessly complex, it's not German.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

I received yesterday my paperwork from the import of my motorcycle. In addition to my original title from the US, there are 5 pages of customs documents, stamped and signed  :rofl2:

"I need this form in triplicate."
"Why triplicate?"
"One we submit, one is filed, and one is burned so the Russians don't get."
"Ah...what?"

 ;D

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Sounds like the obligatory domicile registration in Germany. Everytime you move somewhere, even across the street, you have to go to the city hall with papers and a form to notify the authorities. Then you get a piece of paper (stamped and dated) that certifies you as the habitant of that address.

It's like something from the Middle Ages.

Kangaroo Killed by Zoo Visitors Throwing Bricks

A kangaroo has died in a Chinese zoo after people threw objects at it in an attempt to get it to hop.
Visitors to Fuzhou Zoo in Fujian Province had been trying to get a response from kangaroos by throwing bricks and concrete chunks.

A veterinary surgeon said the 12-year-old female marsupial died from a ruptured kidney after being hit. Separately, a five-year-old male suffered minor injuries from the projectiles that were intended to get the marsupials up on their hind legs when they were sleeping or resting, as they would only be normally be active from 8am to 10am and 3pm to 5pm each day.

State-run China Central Television reported that the dead female will be stuffed and displayed to stop future incidents.

The zoo will also ensure security cameras are not just pointing toward the enclosure but to the visitor areas as well.

The zoo has now reduced the number of kangaroos on display to three. It has not been reported whether anyone has been charged over the incident, which occurred on February 28, AFP reported.

Conditions at China’s zoos have caused controversy recently due to their disrepair and light regulation. Footage emerged in February of live puppies being fed to pythons at Riverside Zoo in Henan Province.

Last June, tigers killed a donkey released into a zoo in Jiangsu province by investors angry over a business dispute. Also last year, a visitor to a zoo in Ningbo, near Shanghai, was mauled to death by tigers.

Sun Quanhui, chief scientist from the organization World Animal Protection, told China Daily: "People feeding animals with human food, or touching or scaring zoo animals, are often seen in China."

 :'( :'( :'( :'(
zoos are disgusting, and the people who visit them even more so
note: this is separate from conservation efforts and sanctuaries - those are fine. Zoos primary function is putting animals on display, and that is wrong.

All of those humans who threw rocks at an animal to satisfy their Instagram crack habit do not deserve the oxygen they breathe.

Unfortunately, the Chinese are some of the worst at this. Absolutely no respect for nature whatsoever.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

What about people who have visited a zoo, but also work to save animals?  Are they still more than disgusting?

I know someone who, for the last 20+ years, has devoted their life to the sick and infirm. They have perhaps done more in the name of humanity than you have in your short life.

One time when her child was small, she took him to a zoo to see animals..because she thought it was important for him to learn about these great creatures and how they are threatened in the wild. He simply wanted to see these animals he'd only seen on tv and in videos.

So is this person who devoted her life to those in need and the innocent, curious child really the terrible, disgusting people you think they are?

I meant to say those who visit them "and do this to animals", participate in the torture, etc.

of course not everyone who visits a zoo is disgusting

I blame my thesis, it hurts my brain. Emotion takes over and I write sloppy.

It's not the sloppy writing IMO. It's the offensive, stupid, blanket attacks.

You might actually have a good point...you might even have a captive audience, you actually might be able to change a mind or effect change. But the instant you say your stupid sh*t, people shut off, ignore you and think "Another animal rights nut".

Imagine using that same tact when it comes time to defend your thesis...attacking and insulting the people on the other side of the table? Doesn't matter how great the thesis is...it's a losing strategy.
