WE are actually allowed to produce for our own usage something around the figure of 75 Gals I beleive of alcohol. It can be made from potatoes, Pumpkins or many other types of fruit of vegetables as long as it contains sugar in it to act as a castilist in producing a reaction.
Barrie, let me quote for you from the AGCO, the Ontario regulators of all things alcoholic.
"6. Can I make alcohol at home?
You may make beer or wine at home as long as it is only for your personal consumption or to be given away free of charge. Homemade (or "u-brew") beer or wine may not be sold or used commercially.
Homemade spirits and the use of a still in a person's home are illegal under the Excise Act of Canada."
