Audi ad backfire
« on: March 29, 2017, 10:23:14 pm »
So I just saw an ad for Audi where the concept was that if artificial intelligence could dream it would dream of Audi cars -- which says to me if you are a cold, soulless, heartless, artificial person, you are the perfect Audi driver...
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

If I wasn't worried about FGC reliability and maintenance costs...

I do find Audis to be very cold and clinical. There's something about them that just puts me off.

In pictures I feel like I want one. Objectively great cars. Then I sit in one at the dealership and its just really lacking something.....I think its called soul.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

So while the ad at least to me implies that Audi is bit soulless, I recently test-drove an A3 e-tron (one of only 2 entry lux 5-doors on the market) and loved the interior plus it had about 90% of the performance/fun factor of the C30.  I'm not really looking to replace the C30, but the moment my Dad is no longer well/flexible enough to get into the back seat I need 4 doors...  Other option is CT200h which is perhaps the best-built car I have ever driven, and with the F sport's optional black and burgundy leather interior has a freaking GORGEOUS cockpit, but totally lacks power to the point that it is frightening...

Absolutely +1.

My workplace in Germany was next to an Audi dealer, so I walked past it daily. Never went into it, nor felt that I'd desire one.
