Um, seems like a marketing ploy to me, just show us it already. GM is taking orders at 1pm.

GM is taking a different approach to F150, using a platform that fits all.

I don't see this being anywhere nearly as successful as the Lightning. Ford was very smart to make the Lightning as just another variation of the F-150. That brings costs down thanks to parts sharing and economies of scale, and it also helps consumer acceptance. It also allows Ford to offer a work-grade trim-level at a reasonable price ($40k USD!).

LOL, the top trim is going to be $120K, and I'm unsure if that's CAD or USD.  Who in their right mind is going to buy that?

For me, if I want an electric truck I'd be going with the Lightning or Rivian, and maybe the Cyber Truck if it ever is made.  I can't see how Chevy will be able to make this successful.  It's okay to make the GMC Hummer 6 figures as that's considered a premium product, having a Chevy Silverado at that price will not work in my opinion.

Someone shaved an Avalanche or gen1 Ridgeline!

Meanwhile out west we have been near or above capacity on the current electrical grid setting new records each day. What happens when I plug in at ye old supercharger and there is no juice to be had? What will it be like in 5 years when all this wave of E cars hit the road? Burn some coal to make up the difference?  ;)

WT version is suppose to be $40,000 US
I love it when a plan comes together.

Starts at $39k. Pretty nice. I like it better than the Ford. The mid gate idea worked really well in the old avalanche trucks.

Top trim listed at 107k USD, while complete Lighting pricing recently came out - the Platinum trim is 97k USD, options can probably balance the gap.

Better res pic: (edit: this blue truck is the top-trim RST)

Convenience most short-bed trucks lack, and this will be a very different feature / advantage in the Chevy vs Ford bragging wars:

Holy :censor: that dash is ugly.  Mid-gate would be very useful though.  Modern day avalanche.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Agree mid-gate is a great idea.

Funny how they felt the need to keep the tall grill/hood
