Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

I’m shocked at the price. Starting at $40k US or about $52k Canadian is actually pretty awesome. 3500 lb of payload and 14000 lb towing capacity even better.

Not for that base price though.

Base price truck is RWD and tows 7,500.

And my gosh is it ever ugly.

Still good enough for my trailer and they all have 3500 lb payload which is more than anyone needs. My trailer + three dirt bikes = 1800 lb with 1700 lb to spare for passenger and other cargo.

And yea at first I was like wtf? The botch shatterproof glass test lol. Then I saw the price, towing capability, payload, and range, yea I can live with the looks.

MKBHD released his thoughts and test drive video.

Certainly attention grabbing. Regardless of what you think about the styling, it is in stark (:)) contrast to the traditional big 3 pick up trucks. Many will say this makes the big 3 look old, dated, behind the times. Further differentiating Tesla, which is likely Tesla's strategy. Well played.
I love it when a plan comes together.

Saw a comment elsewhere that this is likely Tesla's first concept vehicle, and that while the production version may resemble it a lot of details will be changed. It certainly doesn't look compliant with current regs in any way.

The loading ramp built into the tailgate is a cool idea.  One of those "surprised it's never been done before" kinda things.

It looks like something I could put together in a month in my shed with some scraps of sheet metal and some pop rivets.

Anyway, this is moot point.  Clarkson, May and Hammond already built an electric truck that looks better than this.  The Eagle I-thrust Hammerhead.

There's no lighting visible from the side of the vehicle. This is a concept pure and simple.

Looks like a future car from an early 90s video game.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

CYBRTRK DNA = Hummer + DeLorean + Triumph TR7+ log splitter.

When it as revealed I was like :o

1.   Base price.  WTF?!  This has more everything than any other EV for that price.   Shocked at the low entry price.
2.   Capacity and towing performance are nearly in dually territory.
3.   When the window glass was shattered I was like "bad demo!"

Am unable to verify my own feelings, it is so "out there" but so amazing value.

Our family has taken three multi-week RV vacations and discussed buying a Tesla truck to tow a larger dual axle trailer, but the 5th wheel towing option wasn't shown, and hanging a large trailer off a ball isn't exactly something I was interested in doing.

I was laughing out loud for minutes thinking about the reaction others were going to have to this truck, I LOVE the daring and ridiculous styling for that reason alone.   Am not putting down a deposit...yet.   :-\

A truck with no cargo room.  That's a pretty good idea.

You need to watch the video.

Ugly as :censor:, but specs are impressive.  Will be interesting to see what the real thing looks like.

The guys at Rivian must have been cheering when they saw that!
