I think it looks pretty good, but I just can't get past the prices  :o  I know I'm stuck in the dark ages and it's the whole market, but I can't get my head around $50K for a bloody hyundai SUV.

Middle of the model range for ICE is the "Luxury" Trim.  48 mth lease tax in $710. mth, but there will be another grand added on the MSRP for dealer ad-ons and fees.  Lease rate is 8.5%.  :o

Purchase is 6.5% for 60 mths @ $1,165 mth and that's without dealer fees and ad-ons.

Neither option is particularly inviting, but compared to the market it is what it is.  Standard of living is circling the bowl.

Correct.  I'm stuck there too.  50k is the new 30k.  Seems like 5 minutes ago, if you were buying a $60k vehicle, you were buying something at least kinda special.  Now that just an suv.

Also, get off my lawn.  ;D

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Basically anything I actually want is $100k these days. Used to be there was a lot of stuff in the $60k range that would have made me happy.

Interesting side note: the primary reason the new Santa Fe is a 3-row is to meet light truck CAFE regs.

Saw one today in black. Boy, that thing is F U G L E Y. Something like the 16-bit Lara Croft would drive. What a joke. I retract every reservation I may have made about it before. There is not a slight resemblance to Land Rover anything. While I realise people will drive whatever comes with the most up to date gadgets and safety, there are much better looking cars from Kiundai. Take the EV9 for instance, if there is need for space.
