That maple trim is kind of odd. Not sure I like the yellow-ish-ness of it next to grey and black. But the other materials look great.
Seems Mazda has fixed the biggest issues with the CX-9 by making it bigger and dropping in a much better engine. Bonus that it gets better fuel economy, too.
This looks seriously upmarket both inside and out. Maybe not six figures upmarket but it definitely holds its own when compared to brands like Volvo, Cadillac, Acura, etc. The interior is very well done with lots of hard buttons, no goofy shifter, a wide/low infotainment screen, etc. It may not winner over the crowd that wants touchscreens everywhere but oh well.
Also sounds like the price will be quite reasonable. Well done, Mazda.
