Me personally, I just get fertilizing/weed killing, with bug spraying if needed.  I'm in NB, so it's not likely  useful, but I will find my bills if you think it will be of some value.

Thanks for the offer.  I just checked with a few clients.  $50 an application is the average.  So I will charge $30.  See how many of Weedmans clients I can take.
That too much of a undercutting, go with $45

Can't do that.  I am too nice.  And have much less overhead than bigger companies.

Do not price your services based on what they cost.  Charge what the market will bear.  Or at least, close to it.

Stop being nice, your customers won't pay extra when your kid needs braces.

Well, I can always do what the telecommunication industry does.  1st year lower price, next year higher price!  I am offering a lot more services this year.  So I will have to experiment. Hard to know where exactly the line is between too little and too much.  I know with the $30 per application, there is still profit there.  It would only take 1/2 hour max an application.  Say $3 per application for the chemical.

If my kids need braces (which I doubt, both of us never had).  That's where my wife's benefits come in !

^I think you should charge more, $30 isn't enough and it will likely take you more than just 30mins. Assuming that you'll be spraying the application using a tank that you'd carry on your back?

No.  Using that's spot spraying.  I am using the kind that connects to the hose.

I used that one last spring to spray my lawn with Killex  :rofl2:  So then you'll need to use your clients water & hose? In that case, maybe $30 is fair.

Thanks, that's what I hear from my clients.  Never heard that I charge too much.

What about picking weeds?

Seems like that's what most companies do around here now since they can't spray or nobody wants chemicals anymore.

Well I am talking spending Friday, Saturday, and Sunday talking to clients this weekend about it.  If they want manual.  It will be an hourly rate.  Around here its a mix of both.

I assume you'd be using your own hose, but customers' water (assuming they have an accessible outdoor hose bib), so that may be a reasonable price.

I prefer the guys who have a tank and pump and hose on the truck, that way, they don't need to mess with my hose or water.

I dig some up a lot by hand, but mostly i just let them grow.  Not sure why so many people get so butthurt over a few weeds.   Not sure which is worse; smoke from wood stoves in the winter, or the stench of chemicals in the spring.   :-\
