Ignoring the whining of people that want to go to the front of the line for non-critical procedures or wait times in Emerg when you have a cold, Canada's health care system is really good.  Anytime anyone in my family has required urgent care, it's been swift and attended to by highly skilled persons.

Glad things are going well for you.

I agree.  I was quite pleased with the swiftness that my cataract surgeries were done.

I guess it depends on where you live.  I had to wait 6 months for my first cataract surgery and 9 months for my second.

Mine was done at a private clinic.  :)

My daughter lost her first tooth today... My wife is working nights.  So I am on tooth fairy duty.  Good thing the tooth is gone.  Knowing my wife she would want to keep it.

Speedy recovery AB. Looks nasty, but I am sure it'll be worth the trouble when you're back on your feet.

AirB, did you get a knee replacement?

Courtesy of a ski crash a while ago at least one TKR is in my future, so when the time comes I may fire you a million questions.

Till then, best of luck with the recovery. Though hopefully it doesn't come down to luck

Over the past few years I have done snow removal.  Just 8-10 houses within walking distance of my house.  Now that I have a registered business, I took on some clients from my wait list.  I doubled to 16-18.  They broken into 3 zones.  zone 1, the 8 near me.  zone 2, 8 contracts 4km south east of me.  zone 3, 2 contracts 4 km south west of me.

I was concerned with zone 3.  As it was just the one person.  I went last week to pick up cheques and give a contract.  3 days later, the neighbour calls me saying he wants the same.  The bonus is, he is on a corner lot, and is in Florida for most of the winter.  So more money because of corner lot, and less priority because he isn't home.

How long before you are able to drive?     Presumably when the left knee is done you'll be able to drive immediately. But the right side as to heal enough to put pressure on the brake I guess.

Staples come out Dec 21 , with the hip it was 6 weeks when I saw the doctor but probably could have drove after 4-5 weeks
I am looking at about 6 weeks again , no big hurry,
Probably if a I drove a Tesla , the healing powers emitted I probably would have never need the operation  ;D
