We had a red '78 Civic hatch with the Hondamatic - it was Mom's car.

That series was actually really good in snow and one of the few cars that could climb our steep driveway in the winter.  They got steadily worse with each successive generation.  My 93 Civic Si was almost useless in snow.

Yup - remember, I grew up in St. John's -- steep hills, wet snow, freezing rain... Mom used to call the Civic her 'little snowplough' -- it never got stuck, just barrelled on through.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

My brother and his wife drove in one of those (same color, too, did Honda only make blue?) 2.5 hours one Christmas in a heavy snowstorm with a large wood stove in the back, a gift for my parents.

From Jalopnik's nice price or crack pipe.  I personally like it.  It'd be a ton of fun.

Europe never got the Magnum.  They had a 300C wagon instead.  Thought they looked way cooler.  No SRT or Hemi though, but a turbo diesel was available...  This one was my taxi from the airport to downtown Vienna many years ago...

There's nothing in those pictures that would make me want to see the car in person, never mind spend $15k on it.  Is that overspray on the leaf spring?  What about that ill-fitting trunk lid?

Ahh minor details!  Don't all cars have overspray on the leafs from the factory?  Get a good body man to fix the ailments...and maybe start at $1500 as your first offer.  It's Winkler after all...he needs a vacation and probably money for farmer sausage, potatoes and schmaunt faht!  Bring a plate over and he'll probably knock a few g off right there.  So yeah, at $15g he's dreaming.  Not sure where he wants to go but Miami's only 20 minutes away and there's a bar (or was  ???).

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/ottawa/2000-honda-civic-sir-coupe-2-door/1260015627?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

All of these Civic siRs are either riced/abused/rusted/junked. This one is a survivor.

I honestly would if I had the space and extra disposal income. It would make a fun car to zip around town in. I just need to wear a backwards cap and roll back and forth at each light :rofl2:

That's a Dodge 600 Convertible with the 146 hp, turbo 4 cyl.  I'd be tempted to add bracing under the car to limit the cowl shake.  Looks good otherwise.

It can go fast enough to exhibit cowl shake?

For $1600 that could almost meet AD's Ride A Wreck fundraiser entry...almost.  $900 too much...but close.
It just needs more Bill Murray and more wood.

Hot Rod or one of those magazines had a T-Bird of that vintage where someone had swapped in an OHC 427. The thing was a beast.

That 71 MGB actually looks pretty solid for $2500, would be nice to have some better pics though.

I agree that the White Firebird Formula is a pretty good buy for $6K. In some ways I prefer the sleeker looks of the Firebird/Formula to the T/A of that generation, and the white looks great with the 17" WS6 wheels. 6sp too. That's a keeper!
