Instant Detailer
« on: October 24, 2021, 10:44:13 am »
What's the best instant detailer I can buy locally at crappy tire? I don't want to order online.

I just want something that will remove surface dirt/dust without scratching. I've had decent result with both Meguiar's and Mother's, but wondering if anyone had any other recommendations?

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Mother's was ok, but I went back to Meguiars in the end, it works well for me.

Results.

I'm glad the Tiguan is still looking good, I think it's 5 years old (and 150K km) now.

Meguiars "gold class" for me. No streaks or haze even in cooler temps, details perfectly every time one pass. Safe for ceramic and great for clay too. No others have come close for me.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I've been using a lot of Chemical Guys products lately and find them really good.  I've been using this detailer, it's a bit pricy but does a wicked job on all surfaces including windows.

I use their VRP dressing on tires.

Yeah I couldn't justify the price.

Went with this one in the end as it has a better formula than the gold. And it's a decent price too.

Yea, that one was one of the first and best. Really like it.

I've moved on to something else, but I'd still not hesitate to use the Meguiars. It's top shelf IMO

Okay, we will try the gold class. We experienced the haze before so hopefully, that would work. The suspension and brake kit from 4Wheelonline will arrive soon, the detailing will be next.

Can someone explain to me how a detailer differs from a wax and dry product.

https://www.homehardware.ca/en/780ml-1-step-and-dry-spray-wax/p/8656706

I have occasionally used a turtle wax product between waxes where you just spray this on and dry the car after a wash. How if this different from a detailer??? ???

If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

You don't wash the car and then use a quick detailer. The quick detailer IS the "wash". You use the quick detailer between washes.

This is used on cars that aren't terribly dirty to begin with. Maybe just dusty, maybe water spots, etc
